You didn't compare apples to apples. Why didn't you go sit down at Sam's? Instead, it looks like you walked a block or more. I guarantee you Sam's pizza was somewhat cold before you took a bite. They have counter service and birchbeer too. Sorry, but you missed the mark on this one.

Rather go to Romeos off boardwalk. Better prices and better quality

Will have to stop at second hand trains this summer. Not many train stores left. We enjoy the Lobster House in Cape May. We get there halve a hour before the 4:30 dining room opens to get a table next to a window to watch boats going by.

Can remember back in the early 1960's when Wildwood Boardwalk had 4 Mack's pizza shops & Sams had two. Both were only 25¢ a slice. Always went to the Mack's that was on Glenwood Ave ( on the boardwalk ). Now prefer Sams pizza over the rest.Sams owner and the short guy that made pizza there last 30 years passed away last year. Making me hungry.

When it comes to Standard Gauge trains reproduced by MTH, find the best deals you can get on sets, and individual pieces. People asking over 1000K for a reproduction 400E regardless of reproduction generation is absurd. Prices for MTH 400E's in great condition or mint are generally sold between 700-1,000$ depending on yhe paint scheme. Passenger sets go between 400-1'000$. Again, based on paint. Anything beyond that you are paying too much realistically. Freight cars on the other hand, go between 40-100$. Even in great to mint condiion. Anything above 100$ is probably a limited run/unique version. A little too much realistically unless you do not care about money and just want to collect everything. 408E goes for around 600-1000$ although, I say get them for as cheap as you can find them. Any 408E beyond 800$ is really pushing it. Especially when it is close to more than 1,000$. The 381E I have seen between 400-800$ in value. 600$ or less is a good deal. Especially when it is in great or mint condition. State sets that 4 cars are worth around 1K or less. Anything more and you are realistically just wasting money on something you can wait for less. Ideally, you want to buy a state passenger car set for 800$. All in all,Standard Gauge can be affordable and probably more affordable than modern O-sacle trains. They can be a better alternative if you just want to have fun. The downside is that there is not too many action accesories like postwar o-gauge and their reproductions. They are still rather expensive compared to anything smaller than O/Gauge. As someone who is primarily HO, but has gotten into Standard Gauge, it is a neat little side hobby you can have for under your layout or for family fun. If you want cheaper Standard Gauge trains, then I recommend the samller less prominent sets that are the originals that you can get restored or in good condition to be found under 500$. Yes, you can find great running original Standard Gauge trains for under 500$.

Yknow for a moment there I was afraid that this was going to be some ""satire"" and yet another overdone slagging off, but I'm actually happy this seems to be sincere, as far as I can tell. Unfortunately I've met some really bigoted people in the hobby, on top of just generally people of poor character ruining things for those that aren't exactly like them. It's nice to see the opposite for once!
